3402616269_1e84146912Jess, now nine, was first diagnosed with cancer when she was three and a half years old. She underwent extensive treatment and it was a long and difficult road for her and her family.

Shortly after meeting Jess, Angela from the Foundation made a deal with her. If Jess was brave enough to go through with her treatment, Angela would dye her hair Jess’ favourite colour – hot pink. Jess kept her side of the bargain, and so did Angela.

The Scaffidi Foundation organised a fantastic family holiday to Queensland for Jess and her family. The holiday gave them an opportunity to relax and recuperate.

Jess was the proud face of the Scaffidi Foundation’s 2007 Raizin’ Race fundraiser and was of our spokespeople for a feature in the Herald Sun.

Jess and her family will always be special friends of the Foundation.

Some are of that unforgettable day when we first met and you presented Jess with all of those wonderful presents. Love Deb
